I tried all sorts of things to fix this, guessing it might have been a permissions error (though the new user I had created was in the Administrators group for all the key folders) and nothing worked. With the release of Windows 11, many users have checked if the PC can run Windows 11 and made a decision - upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 to enjoy band new and improved features of this new operating system. I'm tempted to go through Safe Mode and delete the domain user and let it re-create itself, but I'm hoping there is an alternate solution and an explanation for why this happened in the first place. Also, viewing the user account properties in Safe Mode shows the domain user. I was able to log in as the affected domain user in Safe Mode, and explorer works fine. I did managed to get around the problem by backing up the user accounts, then deleting all the standard user account and recreating them from scratch. The system kept telling me that one or more file could not be changed, so no files were changed.
System restore did not resolve the issues. Was going back to my room to work on some issues, half way up the stairs got the worst headache of my life, wasn'.Hi, Sorry for the delay, been away.
